— So all the gen­er­a­tions from Abra­ham to David are four­teen gen­er­a­tions; and from David un­til the car­ry­ing away into Baby­lon are four­teen gen­er­a­tions; and from the car­ry­ing away into Baby­lon unto Christ are four­teen gen­er­a­tions.
