— On this side Jor­dan, in the val­ley over against Beth­pe­or, in the land of Si­hon king of the Amor­ites, who dwelt at Hes­h­bon, whom Moses and the chil­dren of Is­rael smote, af­ter they were come forth out of Egypt:
