— Then Ab­n­er called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword de­vour for ev­er? know­est thou not that it will be bit­ter­ness in the lat­ter end? how long shall it be then, ere thou bid the peo­ple re­turn from fol­low­ing their brethren?
