— And Ab­sa­lom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's coun­sel­lor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he of­fered sac­ri­fices. And the con­spir­a­cy was strong; for the peo­ple in­creased con­tin­u­al­ly with Ab­sa­lom.
