— And, lo, he hath giv­en oc­ca­sions of speech a­gainst her, say­ing, I found not thy daugh­ter a maid; and yet these are the to­kens of my daughter's vir­gin­i­ty. And they shall spread the cloth be­fore the el­ders of the city.
